Las fotografías navideñas o las que tomamos durante esta temporada en particular, demuestran lo popular de esta práctica cultural, así como, al mismo tiempo, el por qué la fotografía, como concepto genérico, no puede ser considerada como una manifestación artística, entedidas éstas como una especialización de aquellas o una subregión cultural. Quizás existan fotografías que sean producto de una expresión artística, pero a su lado existen miles de imágenes como la que aquí vemos, cuyo objetivo no es otro que el de preservar la memoria, es decir, una práctica que nada tiene que ver con lo artístico y sí, mucho, con los hábitos y rituales que seguimos como miembros de una sociedad .
