Otros dos retratos

Nadar (Del estudio de). Emile Zona. ca. 1880's
Edouard Manet. Emile Zona. 1868

-It said that comparing a portrait painting with a photo could lead to unexpected findings. Let's look at the portrait of Emile Zola, one taken in the workshop of the famous Nadar around the 80's in the 19th. century, the other of not less famous Manet. While they pictorial stops at the show's environment writer, his influences and prferencias artistic photography focuses on the intensity of the psychology of the author's famous "I accuse". What is more real? What shows Zola of flesh and blood, the historical figure? Instead of trying to answer these questions, would it not be better to accept that each medium, according to their ability but also their limitations, reproduced what it is predetermined by their technical conditions?
